Ever since both the companies have started, they have gone head to head in a competition to see which company comes up with the better superheroes. However, it should be known that both of them have done a brilliant job in creating superheroes and giving them movies and TV shows. You can watch these shows and movies online as well, especially if you have a connection such as Xfinity, just be sure to look at Xfinity TV packages to see what exactly you can watch if you get the TV service. However, here are some of the best superheroes that Marvel and DC have created
Marvel’s Spiderman
The teenage boy bit by a radioactive spider. Peter Parker is this really nerdy kid who gets bit by a radioactive spider which gives him powers such as self-healing, the ability to crawl on walls, and a very strong spider-sense. However, he then creates his own webbing fluid and makes his own web-shooters so that he could imitate a spider’s web as well and he uses his web during combat and for web-swinging. Spiderman also has one of the most brilliant storylines, how he is a struggling child from Queens but he still manages to be a student and a superhero every day. He has to face very menacing villains such as Green Goblin, Rhino, Mysterio, the Sandman, and so on.
Marvel’s Daredevil
Daredevil is also one of the best characters created by Marvel. Originating in Hell’s Kitchen, Daredevil is originally Matthew Murdock or Matt Murdock who is an attorney by profession. During the day Matt is a lawyer and by night he becomes the Daredevil. One of the best things about Daredevil is the fact that he is completely blind, yet he manages to be a superhero. When he was a child, he got into an accident where some radioactive chemicals went into his eyes and blinded him, but those chemicals also heightened his other senses such as hearing and smell.
Matt is then trained by Stick, another old man who is blind but is very skilled. He then grows up and turns into Daredevil to take on the notorious villain, Wilson Fisk also known as Kingpin as he wishes to take over the city. Daredevil used to be on Netflix but it has now been shifted to Disney+.
DC’s Batman
One of the most iconic superheroes ever created, Batman is definitely DC’s flagship superhero. A man who has absolutely no superpowers, just a really genius mind and a lot of money, like a lot. Bruce Wayne first loses his parents when he is a child and he has to grow up alone, just with his butler Alfred. Bruce eventually learns martial arts and he invents a huge amount of money is becoming Batman.
He then becomes the protector of Gotham City from villains such as The Joker, Penguin, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, and so on. Batman is also the leader of the Justice League and normally when he fights crime, he is backed up by his sidekick Robin. If you were to ask a DC fan who his favorite superhero is, it is very likely that their answer would be Batman.
DC’s Nightwing
Nightwing is one of DC’s most criminally underrated superheroes. Nightwing is someone who started off as Robin, Nightwing is actually Dick Grayson who was the first Robin alongside Batman. When Dick’s parents passed away in a circus accident, Dick was taken in by Bruce and he started staying with Bruce. Bruce eventually trained Dick to become Robin and fight crime alongside Batman.
However, as Dick grows up he gives away the mantle of Robin and he is replaced by someone else, Dick then takes up the mantle of being Nightwing as he stops working with Batman. Nightwing in himself becomes a new superhero and Robin is replaced by other people such as Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Stephanie Brown, and Batman’s own son Damian Wayne.
DC’s Shazam
Shazam had a very fun movie which was unlike other DC movies that we get which are very dark and serious. Shazam had some light-hearted humor in it as well which made the movie really fun to watch. The movie is about a boy named Billy Batson who is passed on powers from a wizard called Shazam. All Billy has to do is he has to say Shazam and he changes from a teenage boy to a buff superhero.
Since he is still a child at heart, the things that he does is really childish. However, he eventually realizes what it’s like to be a superhero and matures up a bit. Shazam is definitely one of DC’s best movies to watch.
In Conclusion
DC and Marvel have always worked hard to make movies and shows that are appealing to the audience. But for that to happen, they need to make amazing characters and storylines which they are already doing a pretty good job at.
